  • THE #1 QUESTION OF ALL TIME- WHO PROVIDES THE ALCOHOL?
    In short- you! The state of Michigan does not allow mobile businesses to obtain a liquor license. We can't collect payment for any alcohol served from The Ivy. ​ We do however, work directly with alcohol reps and breweries to help place orders for our hosts. We require hosts to pay those alcohol costs to the direct seller (not The Ivy). For a small fee, we can pick up and bring your alcohol purchase to the event, taking another thing off your planning plate (we know, we know.. we're amazing)!
  • HOW DO WE KNOW WHAT ALCOHOL TO PURCHASE?
    The thought of calculating quantity and deciding on cocktails can be an overwhelming thought for hosts, which is why we are here to tell you that is NOT the case! The Ivy staff will create a menu based on your interests or theme, to help make this part fun and easy! Domestic kegs, craft kegs, wine, cocktails- we're here for it all! If you have a budget in mind, we will offer our best suggestions to impress your guests, while not breaking the bank. Who doesn't love to come up with their own signature cocktails?!
  • DO YOU PROVIDE THE BARTENDERS?
    Yes! We do rent out The Ivy to hosts that are already working with their own bartenders or caterers for liability reasons. The Ivy bartending staff is of the friendliest, up-beat, hardworking people we know. Prepare to be dazzled!
  • WHAT SIZE IS THE IVY AND DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE THE POWER SOURCE?
    The Ivy is 16 feet long, including the nose. It is 8 feet wide and just over 8 feet tall. We do require a flat surface to park on. Something FABULOUS about The Ivy is that it is completely free-standing, with its own built-in generator! This is ideal for venues that do not have an electrical access points. We can also plug into a standard 20V outlet.
  • HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?
    The Ivy is housed just a couple miles from the northern region of Lake St. Clair. We will travel up to 30 miles roundtrip at no additional cost. $2/mile after the 30 included.
  • WHAT SIZE KEGS CAN THE KEGERATOR HOLD? WHAT ABOUT BOTTLED OR CANNED DRINKS?
    The Ivy's kegerator has 6 tap handles. It can hold two full size kegs. If you decide not to do full size kegs, you can mix and match other size barrels (up to 6 different kinds). ​ If you choose bottled or canned beverages (or wine that needs to be chilled), we will use our kegerator space or steel ice bins to keep your alcohol cold throughout the entire event!
  • ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?
    You betcha! The Ivy Mobile Bar, LLC was established in 2021 and holds liquor liability and general liability insurance. Our trailer and truck are also fully insured as well.
  • WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
    The Ivy accepts check (preferred payment), Venmo, CashApp, or all major credit cards (3% service fee for credit cards).
